Patient and kind Brian Markham took some family images of me and my guys at Fort Collins's Rolland Moore Park. Yes--that's a sucker that my one year old has. The session cost me about 10 suckers total and the boys were wired for 12 hours, but it was well worth it. Now I know just how hard it is to be the mom on the other side of the camera, and I will quietly step back to my usual, and easier, spot on the other side :).

I have been a stressed out mess over my new neighbors. Mom took my hanging a beautiful flower pot on Memorial Day weekend as an invitation to build a nest directly in it, making the flowers die within a week since I couldn't water it. Next thing I knew 4 eggs took up the spot as their new home as well. And now....babies! Or chicks! Or whatever they are called! I am so worried that Mom has taken off (who could blame her--four little one to care for and feed on your own--I can't promise that I wouldn't be on the next plane out of here) and left them on their own, as I haven't seen her in days. I haven't figured out the what to do part of this all yet, but they are pretty darn cute.

I had so much fun photographing these boys, who happen to be the same age as my own. Tanner was thrilled to show me his mad skillz in running, jumping, spinning, falling, and golf :). The kid's got game. And baby brother Blake has such a sweet face--I just wanted to take a bite out of it!
